WE LOOK FORWARD TO YOUR VISIT....

We look forward to you using our Warrington Meeting House. Below is some important information about using the venue.

HEALTH AND SAFETY

Please familiarise yourself with the below information before using the venue:

  • In the event of a fire, the front door and kitchen exit door are the only exits from the building
  • Fire extinguishers are located in the entrance, kitchen, main meeting room and small meeting room
  • The Fire Notice is on the wall by the front door. Ensure you have an evacuation plan. If the alarm sounds leave at once
  • A First Aid Kit is kept in the kitchen with an Accident Book

Warrington Meeting House

USING THE MEETING HOUSE

To ensure we can continue hiring out the Meeting House to local groups we ask the following:

  •  No smoking in the grounds
  • No smoking/vaping/alcohol in the building
  • Storage Cupboard. Space is very limited, please don’t store things unless this has been agreed in advance. If you are using this space don’t go over your allowance or use the floor space
  • Store any food stuffs e.g. biscuits, in sealed containers
  • Recycle where possible. No bin bags in the blue bin (recycling)
  • Leave the Meeting House as you find it
  • No Blu Tac on the walls
  • Keep chairs away from the radiators
  • Please use only PAT tested electrical equipment
  • There are cleaning items in the broom cupboard in the kitchen
  • Do not drag the furniture across the wooden floors
  • No bicycles in the building (there are bicycle racks in the garden)

Parking:

  • You may park one car in front of the entrance gates on Academy Place. You must leave clear access to the Meeting House and other adjacent properties

WIFI ACCESS AND EQUIPMENT

  • Wi-Fi password: friendsmeeting
  • The heating is programmed to set times but if necessary use the booster controls in the kitchen

LEAVING THE BUILDING

When you are ready to leave the building please ensure that:

  • All the windows are closed
  • All the taps are turned off
  • All the plugs are turned off at the wall except where indicated
  • All the lights are turned off
  • Internal doors are closed

EMERGENCY INFORMATION

The caretaker is part-time and will turn her mobile phone off when not at work. If you have a problem leave a message on our Manchester office number: 0161 834 5797. Your message will be picked up when the office is next open (usually 8.30am weekdays). You can also email office@meetinghousemanchester.co.uk

In case of electrical failure, the main trip switch is located in the cupboard under the stairs

  • The stop tap is located in the Accessible Toilet to the right of the door as you enter
  • If you smell gas ring 0800 111 999 (24hour service)
  • If you see something suspicious ring Police 999 or ring 101 for non-emergency calls

If you have had a problem we would like to know, please leave a message on the above number or send an email.

LOCKING UP

  • You do not need to set an alarm
  • Lock the front door using the bottom lock only
  • If you have used the key safe, return the key for the next user
  • Close the gate
