Evacuation Information

Please see below for information on our evacuation procedure and PEEP form for Manchester Central Meeting House.

Fire Evacuation Procedure Central Manchester

  • Although we have a one way system in place the fire exit points for evacuations haven’t changed. Please use the fire escape routes as normal
  • If you hear the fire alarm, evacuate the premises and assemble outside the back of the Central Library opposite our main entrance.
  • Details of the nearest fire exits are posted in each room
  • Do not stop to collect belongings
  • Do not use the lift
  • Do not re-enter the building

Some people may need help and assistance to leave a building in the event of an emergency evacuation. The below form is for those who require assistance, and can be filled out by the person who requires the assistance or someone on their behalf.

SMALLER MEETING HOUSES EVACUATION INFORMATION 

Eccles Meeting House Evacuation Information 

Eccles Meeting House is not staffed therefore please familiarise yourself with the below information before using the venue:

  • In the event of a fire, the front door and Tearoom door onto the patio are the only exits from the building
  • There are fire extinguishers located around the building
  • The fire notice is on the wall by the front door
  • Have an evacuation plan. If the alarm sounds, leave at once
  • A First Aid kit is kept in the kitchen. Please remember to use the Accident Book
  • Unfortunately, the lift is not available for room hirers

 

Sale Meeting House Evacuation Information 

Sale Meeting House is not staffed therefore please familiarise yourself with the below information before using the venue:

  • In the event of a fire, the front door is the only exit from the building
  • Fire extinguishers are located in the entrance hall, downstairs kitchen, upstairs landing and upstairs kitchen
  • The Fire Notice is on the wall by the front door. Ensure you have an evacuation plan. If the alarm sounds leave at once
  • A First Aid Kit is kept on the bookshelves at the back of the Entrance Hall with an Accident Book

 

South Manchester Meeting House Evacuation Information 

South Manchester Meeting House is not staffed therefore please familiarise yourself with the below information before using the venue:

  • In the event of a fire the fire exits are the front door, the door from the main meeting room into the car park and the fire exit from the Children’s Room
  • The Fire Notice is on the wall by the front door. Ensure you have an evacuation plan. If the alarm sounds leave at once
  • Heating booster controls are by the front door
  • The First Aid kit and Accident Book are in the kitchen

 

Warrington Meeting House Evacuation Information 

Warrington Meeting House is not staffed therefore please familiarise yourself with the below information before using the venue:

  • In the event of a fire, the front door and kitchen exit door are the only exits from the building
  • Fire extinguishers are located in the entrance, kitchen, main meeting room and small meeting room
  • The Fire Notice is on the wall by the front door. Ensure you have an evacuation plan. If the alarm sounds leave at once
  • A First Aid Kit is kept in the kitchen with an Accident Book
