As though meeting in a historic building in the centre of Manchester wasn’t enough we also offer a range of facilities and services to make your meeting, conference or event run like clockwork. And remember; we’re a not for profit organisation, any surplus we make from the hire of our buildings and services goes to supporting an array of charitable causes supported by our local Quaker community.

Apart from the small rooms F14, F15, F16 and F17, our building is accessible to wheelchair users providing a ramp into the building and lift access to all floors. We also have accessible toilet facilities on the ground and first floor. We have a hearing loop system built into the Main Hall and a mobile hearing loop system that can be used in any of our other rooms. We can also cater to any specific allergen requirements.
We offer unlimited access to Wi-Fi at Friends Meeting House. We also have a range of audio-visual equipment that is available for hire. This includes laptops, a PA system, integrated and mobile data projectors, a 60” plasma screen television, powered speakers and built in speakers, DVD player and a docking station; what more could you possibly want? …Well if you do require additional equipment we can hire that in for you, the sky’s the limit.
Bottles of water and glasses are supplied as standard with any booking. We also offer a range of hot drinks which includes tea, coffee, fruit and herbal teas provided at times to suit you. We offer a range of Fairtrade products; it’s one of our key values. For those with a sweet tooth we can provide biscuits and cakes from Lily and Dilly to accompany your refreshments.
The table below shows you the size of our rooms, and our recommended maximum capacity for each in a number of standard seating layouts. If you have some other specific layout in mind, tell us what you’d like. And if you’re not sure what layout would be best for your event, do speak to our team.
Below are the rates for our conferencing hours – Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm. If your event will run over these times then just contact us and let us know the hours you need. Email us at firstname.lastname@example.org to discuss your needs.

We offer a range of tasty finger buffets, catering to all tastes and dietary requirements. We are proud to support Good Mood Food (www.goodmoodfood.org) Manchester Mind’s social enterprise, promoting positive mental health, volunteering and employment opportunities to people with mental health problems.
When it comes to food we can offer flexibility and provide anything from continental and hot breakfast sandwiches to canapés and buffets, just ask!
